I love the idea of a house church but have difficulty with it because most houses around me re not wheelchair accessible.
My other comment is how we often.. even in the house church community.. make the sacraments way too liturgical. Why not just share a meal making a toast or prayer that simply remembers Jesus?
Maybe the journey out of the traditions of the institutional church is a bit more difficult than we think?

Bob, sorry to hear that but I can sure understand that would be a difficult aspect (as far as meeting in houses - wheelchair accessible)
I want to thank you for mentioning that. It's so very true that house churches can take on the very same reflection as religious sacraments etc.
I know first hand that the journey out of the traditions of the institutional church is difficult and a process, it is worthwhile and wonderful how He does call us away from that , but yeah, as you said, it takes time to work these things out of us. But Father is faithful.
I too would prefer a meal as you suggested and in fact have had many of them with others (so beautiful)
