Leaving Ourselves in God's Hands

Jesse Penn-Lewis “...From that hour I understood, and knew, intelligently, that it was dying, not doing, that produced spiritual fruit. The secret of a fruitful life – in brief – to pour out to others and want nothing for yourself: to leave yourself utterly in the hands of God and not care what happens to you.”

How do we get to the place where we are consistently allowing this to take place in us ?

Ruth,

"The secret of a fruitful life – in brief – to pour out to others and want nothing for yourself: to leave yourself utterly in the hands of God and not care what happens to you.”

Sounds wonderful, but apart from a growing revelation of His love for me, this will be imo nothing more than another religious fleshly work.

To the degree that I see and know His love for me, it does-will free me to serve, not serving to be loved, win points.
Also I do not ever see this side of glory that sins self-4-self is going to be vaporized, in fact imo I see it being something that is overcome through the power of experiencing the selflessness of His heart....
